Our bespoke shower screens are manufactured from toughened safety glass and made to your required dimensions for bathrooms, wet rooms, walk-in showers and shower enclosures.

Choose from clear, extra-clear low iron, satin or tinted glass, with optional holes, notches and cut-outs for hinges, handles, support bars and other shower fittings.

How to Measure for a Bespoke Shower Screen

Accurate measurements are particularly important when ordering custom shower glass, as the panel will be manufactured to the dimensions supplied.

  1. Sketch the shower area.
    Draw a simple diagram showing the walls, tray or floor, door position and any fittings.
  2. Measure the width in several places.
    Take measurements at the bottom, middle and top of the opening. Walls are not always perfectly parallel.
  3. Measure the required height.
    Measure vertically from the finished shower tray or floor to the required top edge of the glass.
  4. Check whether the walls are plumb.
    Use a spirit level and record any variation that may need to be allowed for in the glass shape or fixing system.
  5. Check door clearance.
    If you are ordering a hinged shower door, make sure there is sufficient space for the door to open without hitting sanitaryware, walls or other fittings.

Where possible, take final measurements only after tiling and other finished surfaces are complete, as these can affect the final opening size.

What Thickness of Glass Is Best for a Shower Screen?

The appropriate glass thickness depends on the size of the panel, whether the glass is framed or frameless and how it will be supported.

Can I Install a Shower Screen Myself?

The difficulty of installing a shower screen depends on the size and weight of the glass, the fixing method and the condition of the surrounding walls.

A relatively small framed or fixed screen may be straightforward for an experienced DIY installer. Larger frameless panels, heavy glass doors, sliding systems and installations where walls are out of plumb may be better suited to an experienced glass or bathroom installer.

Always ensure that the fixing substrate, fittings and installation method are suitable for the size and weight of the glass.
