Do Juliet Balconies Need Planning Permission?
A Juliet balcony with no external platform or external access would normally fall within permitted development rights in England. However, planning requirements can vary depending on the property and location.
You should check with your local planning authority if your property is listed, located within a conservation area, affected by an Article 4 Direction or subject to other planning restrictions.
If the project also involves enlarging an opening, installing new doors or making other alterations to the building, those works may have their own planning or Building Regulations requirements.
