Made-to-Measure Bespoke Mirrors

Create a mirror made to your exact size and specification. Our 6mm bespoke mirrors are available in Silver, Grey, Bronze and a selection of Antique finishes, with a wide range of shapes and additional processing options.

Choose your mirror finish, shape and dimensions above, then add options such as foil or safety backing, drilled holes, notches, cut-outs and corner processing where required.

All mirror edges are polished as standard.

Please note: Our bespoke mirrors are not toughened and must not be installed behind a direct heat source.

If you need help with a complex shape, hole positions or cut-outs, you can upload a dimensioned drawing with your order or contact our team before purchasing.

Mirror Shapes Made to Measure

Your mirror does not have to be rectangular.

Our online configurator includes a range of standard and bespoke shapes, including rectangles, circles, ellipses, semicircles, triangles, raked panels and cut-corner designs.

We can also provide additional processing such as drilled holes, notches and cut-outs.

For more complicated projects, we recommend uploading a dimensioned drawing showing the required shape, measurements and processing positions so our team can review the details before manufacture.

Silver, Grey, Bronze & Antique Mirrors

The finish you choose can have a significant effect on the appearance of your room.

Silver mirror provides the traditional bright reflective appearance associated with standard mirrors.

Grey and bronze tinted mirrors create a softer, more decorative reflection and are particularly suited to contemporary interiors, feature walls and furniture.

Our antique mirror finishes have intentionally aged and patterned appearances, making them popular for feature walls, bars, restaurants, furniture and interior design projects.

Because lighting, surroundings and screen settings can affect the appearance of tinted mirrors, website images should be treated as a guide. Antique finishes can also vary in character from piece to piece.

Should I use foil backing for bathroom mirrors?

It is typically recommended that foil backing is applied to all mirrors in order to protect the silvering from deterioration. However, when it comes to fitting mirrors in bathrooms, this protective mirror backing becomes even more important.

In damp environments where moisture can build up, like bathrooms or kitchens, water and mineral deposits can have a direct impact on the quality of the glass mirror. Gathering moisture and corrosive salt can cause gradual erosion and rust.

By simply applying a foil backing, you can protect the glass from being affected as easily by water and minerals, making your investment go much further.

At The Glass Warehouse, the made to measure mirror designs we supply are available with the option of foil backing, which you can select when ordering.

Will safety backing stop mirrors from breaking?

Custom-made mirrors with safety backing applied are typically much sturdier in the face of impact. Made from polypropylene, the backing is applied on the underside of the mirror paint and serves as a barrier that can withstand most of the pressure if an impact were to occur.

Safety backings can not only prevent a mirror face from breaking, but can also reduce the risk of injury from shards of glass by holding the pieces in place.

However, it is important to bear in mind that whilst safety backing can help to save your mirror from breaking, it cannot guarantee it. Applying safety backing will undoubtedly strengthen the surface of the mirror, but if an impact is strong enough, your mirror could still be damaged or break entirely.

This is why it’s still so important to hang your bespoke mirror carefully and avoid impacts, even if it comes with a safety layer on the back.

How do I create a mirrored wall?
