Glass Bracket Fittings

Every glass balustrade or shower screen will usually need brackets to hold the glass panel securely in place. This hardware provides mechanical support to create a stable glazed structure by mounting the glass to a wall or another panel of glass.

Here at The Glass Warehouse, we offer a wide range of glass brackets that are suitable for fixing bath screens to baths, fitting shower screens in shower enclosures or wet rooms, or installing glass balustrades either indoors or outside.

Order glass brackets online today for delivery to your home or business, and whether you’re fitting partitions or balustrading, you can enjoy high-quality results.

Different Types of Glass Brackets

Our glass brackets are made from a durable plated brass material and supplied with the gaskets and fixing elements needed to secure a snug fit for the glazed panel.

We have multiple variants available, including 90-degree and 180-degree brackets with inline, aperture, or concealed fixings for glass-to-glass or glass-to-wall installations.

We know that when fittings are visible, the finish is also an important factor, which is why we offer a selection of plating style options to help you achieve your desired look.

Choose from nickel-plated brushed brass, brushed or polished chrome-plated brass, or a matt black coating to match other fittings or make a contrasting statement.

When choosing your brackets, make sure they’re the right fit for your glass thickness and that you order enough of them to provide even support to each panel.

If you need any help or more information, you can get in touch with the experts at The Glass Warehouse for guidance – just call our team on 020 8500 1188!

Do I need to prepare glass to use these bracket fixings?

Bracket fittings must be evenly distributed around a glazed panel and tightened to secure the glass. It’s important to get the positioning and tightening right – otherwise, the glass could be too loose or experience too much tension.

While standard fixing components will be supplied with the product, alternative fixings may be required in some cases. Bracket designs may also require glass preparation, such as drilled holes for bracket bolts with a specified minimum size.

When selecting bracket options, you should read the product description thoroughly and consult the accompanying drawings. Each product page should have a PDF with more information that you can download to see what preparation is required.

With this information in hand, it should be easy to install glazed panels with your chosen fittings – but if you still aren’t sure what to do, you can contact us.

Are brackets the same as glass clamps?

While the terms are often used interchangeably, as technically, they’re both used to clamp glass in place, a bracket is a more specific type of clamp that usually connects the panel to an adjacent wall surface for structural support.

What many people think of when they think about glass clamps are the smaller clips that are used more specifically to connect glass panels to each other in a straight run, such as balustrade fittings. Sometimes they can be floor-mounted, or even hinged to connect doors, such as balustrade gates.

Angled bracket fittings come in a slightly more complex style and shape to ensure a strong and reliable connection between a glass panel and a supporting wall at a right angle, or between two adjoining panels at either 180 or 90 degrees.

With an assortment of hardware options and multiple variants available on our site, be sure to look through all of our glass fittings to find the right ones for your application.

Can these fittings be used for glass cabinets?

When you check the design compatibility details for each product in this selection of fittings, you’ll find that they’re primarily intended for use with bath screens, shower enclosures, partitions, and balustrades that attach to a wall.

This means they generally aren’t suitable for applications like windows or doors.

While it’s up to you to try whichever products you like for whatever projects you like, of course, it would be a waste of time, money, materials, and effort if you’ve chosen the wrong fittings for your specific purpose.

So, if you’re looking for a way to attach glass doors to a cabinet front, you should look at other options like our hinges for doors and gates instead – allowing cabinet doors to open and close rather than fixing the panels in a permanent position.
