The print is bonded to the back of the glass, giving it a protective layer that shields the design from everyday scratches and fading. It protects delicate paint and wallpaper from spills, stains, grease, and water damage. 

*If installed at least 10cm away from naked flames or heat sources, depending on the hob manufacturer’s recommendations.

How to Clean and Maintain a Marble Kitchen Splashback

Marble effect splashbacks are far easier to care for than real marble. There’s no sealing, and common acidic spills, like lemon juice or vinegar, won’t etch the surface. To keep your marble splashback looking its best:

  • Clean daily, or as needed, with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove dirt and debris 
  • Use gentle degreasers that can sit on the glass for 5 – 15 minutes if the surface is heavily soiled 
  • Avoid harsh chemicals, steel wool, or abrasive scouring pads, as they can cause scratches over time
