Heat-Resistant Printed Glass Splashbacks

Being non-porous and resistant to stains as well as high temperatures, toughened glass is also very simple to maintain because it’s so easy to clean. As long as you wipe spills away and avoid abrasive cleaners, you can keep your splashback in perfect condition for years to come.

Our glass splashback panels provide a hygienic barrier, offering extra protection for walls in bathrooms as well as kitchens. Wherever you install them, printed splashbacks will display your custom image cleanly while shielding painted or papered walls from moisture and heat.

We have full confidence in the quality of our made to order splashbacks, so why not discover the wide range of benefits for yourself? Make the most of our great service and order your own durable splashback online for delivery across the UK!

Custom Coloured Glass Splashbacks

If you can’t find a splashback print that suits your tastes, feel free to provide us with your own image, whether it’s your favourite photo or artwork piece (as long as you have legal permission to use it!). You can even supply a Shutterstock ID for a picture, and we’ll calculate the image dimensions for you.

Maybe you have a very specific layout and you’re looking for bespoke sizes or other thicknesses than those listed above. Once you have the exact measurements, you can get in touch with us to request a custom quote, and we’ll help you make the perfect splashback for your home or business interiors.

When we say made to measure, we mean it – we’re happy to accommodate extra features like socket cut-outs for plug sockets if you notify us of your needs beforehand. Whether you’re trying to fit your splashback around cupboards or an oven hood or a vanity unit in a bathroom, we can assist you.

This level of customisation ensures easy installation, so customers across the UK can enjoy their splashbacks as quickly as possible when they arrive!

Is it safe to put a glass splashback behind a gas hob?

With multiple pots and pans on the go while cooking any given meal, a kitchen can quickly become a hot and hectic space. When you’re constantly using a heat source like a hob for long periods of time, whether it’s a gas or electric hob, it’s important to ensure the area is safe.

This means that kitchen splashbacks should be manufactured from a heat-resistant material, like toughened glass. Other options like acrylic splashbacks or mirror panels won’t be able to endure high temperatures without warping the way a toughened glass kitchen splashback can.

Practical toughened glass splashbacks from The Glass Warehouse can give you peace of mind that your kitchen is safe to cook in while maintaining the stunning look and smooth surface of your high-quality product – which is certainly a cost-effective investment.

That said, prolonged direct exposure to a heat source can still damage the surface of toughened glass. It’s therefore important to ensure there’s a gap of at least 10cm between the bottom edge (where the kitchen splashback meets the worktop) and the nearest edge of the gas hob.

How are glass kitchen splashbacks mounted on the wall?

When their glass splashback features a printed image, customers usually don’t want to ruin the quality by screwing the panel to the kitchen wall, because this means adding holes for the screws and being able to see them at the corners.

That’s why we offer the option to purchase a silicone adhesive when placing your order, which can be used to stick kitchen splashbacks directly to walls without a fuss. All you need to do to prepare the surface is make sure it’s smooth and clean.

This means you don’t have to drill into any walls or have any fixings on show. However, if you would rather fix your glass splashback to the wall like this anyway, there is also the option to order a pack of four screws for delivery along with your kitchen splashback.

It’s important to note that if you do want to use screws, you must speak to our team to request that we pre-drill the holes for you, as the glass cannot be cut after it has already been made to order and gone through the toughening process.

Thanks to our great service and quality product options, it’s never been easier to design custom splashbacks, so don’t hesitate to let us know what you need!

You can browse our website to shop our mounting accessories, or contact our team at info@theglasswarehouse.co.uk with any installation questions.

Do you offer a colour-matching service for kitchen splashbacks?

We can produce custom printed glass splashbacks in a variety of sizes and shapes, allowing you to choose an image of your own in any colour you like.

However, while we can help you create bespoke splashbacks with printed images using this order building tool, we cannot colour-match from an image file if you would like a made-to-measure kitchen splashback in a specific colour.

If you would like a glass splashback in a single colour, we do offer a colour-matching option for our painted glass splashbacks, which are back-painted in the same shade all over. This allows us to colour-match your kitchen splashback using colour codes from standardised systems like RAL, Pantone, and Dulux.

This is a great way to create a cohesive kitchen design if you want to match your décor with a consistent palette throughout the space!

It’s a fairly simple process, but if you have any questions about painted or coloured glass splashbacks, customers can call us on 020 8500 1188 for guidance.

Can I order a new splashback in a custom size with drill holes?

Yes – while we offer set glass thicknesses, there is a wide range of customisation options. You can let us know the width and height measurements for the specific shape you want, including extras like drill holes and cut-outs for easy installation, and we’ll manufacture it for you.

Of course, the more bespoke your panels are, the higher the price will be, but you can always contact us for a custom quote before placing an order.

As part of our good service, once the manufacturing process is complete, we’ll ship your new splashback safely to you. Wherever you are on the UK mainland, we can arrange for it to be delivered straight to your kerbside (more shipping information is available on our website).

We’re happy to work with you on crafting a custom splashback suitable for your kitchen or bathroom – you’ll just need to get in touch to discuss your requirements.

What makes glass splashbacks better than acrylic splashbacks?

Maybe you’ve seen that acrylic splashbacks are often cheaper and quicker to buy than glass splashbacks, but it’s important to remember that you get what you pay for. A single-colour acrylic sheet isn’t a heat-proof material, so it won’t have the improved durability and visual appeal of colourful printed glass.

While they both have a wide range of uses and smooth surfaces that are easy to clean, the basic plastic appearance of acrylic splashbacks simply doesn’t compare to the elegant style of painted or printed glass panels with polished edges.

Coloured glass splashbacks are also suitable for use near hobs, while acrylic panels are not, because the heat will melt and warp the plastic. Here at The Glass Warehouse, we believe our customers deserve better, which is why we specialise in delivering toughened glass products across the UK.
