Can you create splashbacks in custom colours?

We specialise in custom colour matching for kitchen splashbacks. Simply provide us with the name or code of the paint colour you desire, and we’ll match it precisely.

Toughened Glass Splashbacks Made to Order

When creating a visually enhanced kitchen area at work or in your home, there is slightly more to it before you can add one of our glass splashbacks to your cooking area.

Choose the right kind of glass 

Our painted, printed, and glitter splashbacks are all available in 6 mm – 15 mm tempered glass, making them suitable for use behind a hob and below the cooker hood. Just remember, there needs to be at least a 10cm gap between the cooktop and panel. 

All mirrored splashbacks, on the other hand, are 6 mm thick and are not suitable for use behind a heat source, as they are not constructed from toughened glass.

Thicker options provide additional durability and are ideal for areas that need extra strength and scratch resistance. From low iron to glitter glass, each type of glass may have different thicknesses available, depending on the manufacturing process.

Document bespoke sizes and shapes for splashbacks

No matter which design you choose, each can be manufactured to your exact size and shape requirements, with a maximum size of 3000 mm x 1500 mm per individual piece of glass.

Simply specify your dimensions and panel shape directly online during the ordering process, when you also have the opportunity to choose from a range of predetermined shapes or add your own design or drawings.

Add personal details for an exact fit

Our in-house manufacturing facilities allow us to cater for the small elements, such as socket cutouts or notches, ensuring a seamless fit to truly transform your space.

During the order process, you can select whether you need extras that can make affixing your new splashback simple and easy, including:

  • Drilled holes
  • Cutouts for sockets
  • Radius corners 
  • Dubbed corners 
  • A polymer coating on the glass

  • Glass hanging adhesive

How do I choose a kitchen splashback?

When it comes to finding the right splash guard for you, it can be hard to know where to begin. After all, there are many designs out there that may take your fancy!

First, consider practicality – do you need toughened glass that can be placed near a heat source, or is your ideal protective panel purely decorative? 

Secondly, consider design limitations – you’ll need to make a note of anything that needs to be cut around or cut out, including notches, sockets, and more. 

Then, you are free to consider style! Your preferred budget will help make final decisions for you, so why not explore all possible options, from printed designs to glitter?

It may seem like a lot to think about at first, but once you get to this point, your ideal product will become a lot easier to decide on. If you still can’t decide, contact the team for advice.

Can glass splashbacks go behind a heat source?

Although we do toughen all of our glass splashbacks as standard, except for mirrored glass, the answer to this really depends on where you intend to place it.

If you are adding a glass panel to your kitchen for decorative purposes only, then you may not feel the need to use toughened glass. 

For panels that need to be resilient against damage and everyday wear and tear, as well as heat sources, choose toughened glass splashbacks for kitchens. You can place them anywhere in the room without having to worry about their practicality.

How much does a glass splashback cost?

The exact cost of a glass splashback is based on a few factors, including: 

  • The size of the splashback 
  • The type of glass chosen 
  • The design you choose 
  • Delivery location

From clear glass to mirrored or coloured statement finishes, our range is extensive and entirely bespoke. For this reason, however, we cannot offer general prices per order, as they can differ so widely.

How do I properly attach a splashback to the wall?

To securely position your perfect splashback, use a non-solvent, acid-free adhesive.

This type of adhesive is ideal for ensuring a strong bond without damaging the product or the wall. If you’ve opted for a backsplash with pre-drilled holes, you can also use screws.

Be sure to select screws that are appropriate for the clean surface you’re mounting it on, whether it’s wood, brick, plaster, or metal, to ensure a secure installation.

Remember to align the bottom edge with the worktop for a straight placement, and to leave a gap of at least 10cm from the panel surface to the edge of the hob or cooktop.

You may also want to use sealant around the edges to prevent moisture from getting trapped.

Is it possible to cut or modify my glass splashback after purchase?

No, once your glass splashback has been cut to your custom size and then toughened, it cannot be altered further in any way, meaning any cutouts must be done beforehand.

Tempered glass is specially manufactured to enhance its heat resistance and durability. Unfortunately, any attempt to cut or modify the kitchen splashback post-manufacture will result in the glass panel shattering.

This doesn’t apply to mirrored glass splashbacks, which are not toughened and therefore not designed for use near heat sources.
