As a Juliet balcony doesn’t feature an external platform, it typically won’t require extra structural alterations or planning permission. They’re usually permitted under permitted developments.
This means you most likely shouldn’t need to ask your local authority for approval to add a glass Juliet balcony.
Unlike traditional projecting balconies, Juliet balconies don’t need planning permission because they don’t:

- Extend outwards less than 300mm from the wall
